Due to the special nature of underwater coloured lights application occasions, it is an electrical product working underwater, so it also has its special requirements of technical indicators.

First, the protection index of underwater colour light

The protection index of underwater colour light is divided into dustproof and waterproof two aspects, the IEC standard stipulates that the international common protection marking symbols are as follows:

1、Dustproof grade

The national standard stipulates that the dustproof grade of lamps and lanterns is divided into 6 levels. The 6th level is the highest, the dustproof level of underwater lights should reach the 6th level and its marking symbol is: IP6X.

2、Waterproof grade

The national standard stipulates that the waterproof grade of lamps and lanterns is divided into 8 levels. The 6th level is water splash type, the 7th level is watertight, the 8th level is pressurised watertight. The eighth level is the highest, the waterproof grade of underwater lights should reach the requirements of the 8th level, and its marking symbol is IPX8.

Combining the above two requirements, the dustproof grade of underwater colourful lights is 6, and the waterproof grade is 8, and its marking symbol is: IP68.

Second, anti-electrocution safety indicators

The national standard on the lamps and lanterns of the anti-electrocution indicators are divided into four categories: O, I, II, III. At the same time, the national standard clearly stipulates that for swimming pools, fountains, splash pools and other similar places of underwater lighting fixtures, should be protected against electric shock III lamps. The working voltage of its external and internal lines should not exceed 12V.

Third, the rated working voltage

The rated working voltage of the lamp is the lamp electrical parameter indicators, which directly determines the use of the lamp environment, that is, the actual working voltage must be consistent with the rated working voltage. Otherwise, either because the voltage is too high and burned out the light source, or too low and can not achieve the lighting effect of light.
